About the Artist
Jeanette Fournier is a watercolor artist who resides in the White Mountains area of New Hampshire. Growing up in this area, she spent a great deal of time in the woods observing and drawing nature. It was during this formative period when she began developing her artistic skills. She is essentially self-taught; however, as an adult she received formal drawing instructions from the Manchester Institute of Arts and at Studio 216 in Manchester, New Hampshire.
She creates realistic watercolor paintings of animals and personalized pet portraits. The details found in her art are one of the hallmarks of her work and reflects a distinctive and original style. Her work has been accepted to the "Art of the Animal Kingdom," a prestigious national wildlife art exhibition in New England and hangs in private collections. Her work has won several awards at numerous juried art exhibitions over the past 15 years. She is a member of the New Hampshire Art Association, an Associate Member of the Society of Animal Artists, and the Northern Vermont Artists Association.
